One of the ways you can let the Council know your views and concerns is to submit a petition. Sometimes this will be about an issue specific to a particular local area or community, and sometimes it will be about an issue that may affect the whole borough and everyone living in it. Either way, petitions provide an opportunity for anyone who lives, works or studies in the Borough to help inform councillors' thinking and influence local decision making. Responding to them is part of the Council's ongoing commitment to listening to and acting on the views of the public.
You can either submit an e-petition through a website that hosts them or send/deliver a traditional paper based one to the address below. To find out more about petitioning the Council, please read our petition scheme and guidance to petitioners. You may also find it useful to check past petition responses.
There are other ways to let us know what you think. You can:
- Email the Leader of the Council direct on firstname.lastname@example.org
- Contact your local ward councillor
- Attend and ask a question at council meetings
