Decision Maker: Portfolio Holder for Environment and Community Services

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Decision:

(1) An application be made to TfL to fund the proposed additional interventions and approval of the final designs is delegated to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with Ward Members and the Portfolio Holder.

(2) Construction of the proposed route and interventions set out at section 3 of Report ES18026, following public consultation, is approved with approval of the final designs delegated to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with Ward Members and the Portfolio Holder.

Reasons for the decision:

In reporting progress on the above Quietway, Report ES18026 outlines recent consultation outcomes on the route including a summary of non-questionnaire comments and responses from the London Cycling Campaign, Lewisham Cyclists, and the Metropolitan Police. Many consultation comments will help refine designs during the detailed design process and travel information will be evidence for future scheme development.

This decision approves the route’s construction and interventions (following public consultation) and a funding application is to be made to TfL for additional interventions outlined in the report. Authority for approving final designs is delegated to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with Ward Members and Portfolio Holder.
