Greenwich to Kent House Quietway (Bromley Section) Public Consultation Report and Final Proposals

Decision Maker: Portfolio Holder for Environment and Community Services

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Decision:

(1)  An application is to be made to TfL to fund the proposed additional interventions with approval of the final designs delegated to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with Ward Members and the Portfolio Holder.

(2)  Construction of the proposed route and interventions as set out at section 3 of Report ES18027 is approved following public consultation with approval of final designs delegated to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with Ward Members and the Portfolio Holder.

Reasons for the decision:

Report ES18027 outlines consultation outcomes for the above Quietway route including a summary of responses to fixed response questions and a quantified analysis of comments from non-questionnaire responses.  Outcomes from an event managed by Sustrans to understand views of businesses in Kangley Bridge Road affected by the shared path proposals are also provided. Additionally, responses from the London Cycling Campaign, Lewisham Cyclists, and Metropolitan Police are outlined. Many of the consultation comments will help refine designs during the detailed design process and travel information will be used as evidence for future scheme development.

This decision gives approval to construct the Quietway route and interventions outlined in Report ES18027. Additional interventions also need consultation and application to TfL for funding. Approval of final designs for interventions – including additional interventions – is delegated to the Executive Director in consultation with Ward Members and the Portfolio Holder.
