Description of application – Demolition of existing dwelling and construction of part two/three storey block comprising 4 x two bedroom and 1 x one bedroom flats, parking, cycle storage, landscaping and refuse area.

Oral representations in objection to the application were received.  Oral representations from Ward Member, Councillor Nicky Dykes in objection to the application were received at the meeting.  Councillor Dykes also spoke on behalf of her fellow Ward Members, Councillors Will Harmer and Michael Rutherford.  Councillor Dykes reported that she and Councillor Harmer had visited the affected property and their objections had been covered in the Chief Planner’s report. Councillor Dykes referred to application reference APP/G5180/A/13/2198830 that had previously been to appeal and, in her view, the reason for the appeal being dismissed was relevant to this application.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that PERMISSION BE REFUSED as recommended, for the reasons set out in the report of the Chief Planner.
