Description of application – Proposed demolition of existing dwelling and construction of a new five bedroom dwelling.
Oral representations in support of the application were received at the meeting.
Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that PERMISSION be GRANTED as recommended, subject to the conditions set out in the report of the Chief Planner with an amendment to Condition 8 and a further condition to read as follows:-
“8. Before the development hereby permitted is first occupied the proposed window(s) in the east and west elevations shall be obscure glazed to a minimum of Pilkington privacy Level 3 and shall be non-opening unless the parts of the window which can be opened are more than 1.7 metres above the floor of the room in which the window is installed and the window (s) shall subsequently be permanently retained in accordance as such.
REASON: In the interests of the amenities of nearby residential properties and to accord with Policies BE1 and H8 of the Unitary Development Plan.
13. Full details and drawings of boundary enclosures to a height of 2m shall be submitted and approved in writing prior to the occupation of the dwelling hereby permitted.
Reason: In order to comply with policy BE1 and H7 of the Unitary Development Plan and in the interest of neighbouring amenity.”
