Description of application – Demolition of existing dwelling houses at 56A and 56B Copers Cope Road and construction of 4 four bedroom semi-detached dwellinghouses.  OUTLINE APPLICATION FOR ACCESS AND LAYOUT.

 

Oral representations in support of the application were received at the meeting.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that PERMISSION BE REFUSED for the following reason:-

1  The proposed development by reason of its prominent siting, scale, massing, design, sub-standard spatial relationship to the existing and adjacent dwellings in the locality in this prominent location, represents a cramped overdevelopment of the site which would appear detrimental to and out of character with surrounding development and harmful to the visual amenities of the area contrary to Policies BE1, BE13 and H7 of the Unitary Development Plan.
