Description of application – 2 dwellings with car parking at land at the rear of Benwick Court.
Oral representations in support of the application were received at the meeting. Supplementary information had been received from the agent and circulated to Members.
The Chairman was concerned that the parking spaces were under-utilised due to the high cost charged that resulted in unnecessary cars parked on the highway and requested that a fuller transport survey should be undertaken.
Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that THE APPLICATION BE DEFERRED, without prejudice to any future consideration, to seek a further parking assessment regarding existing parking demand on-site from residents, as well as parking demand/capacity in neighbouring streets, to ascertain whether the existing car park is genuinely under-used.
