Description of application – Demolition of the existing dwelling and the erection of a three storey building comprising 2 x studios, 5 x one bedroom and 1 x two bedroom flats with associated car parking, landscaping and refuse store.

 

Oral representations in objection to and in support of the application were received at the meeting.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that PERMISSION be GRANTED as recommended, subject to the conditions and informatives set out in the report of the Chief Planner with amendments to Conditions 9 and 16 to read:-

“9.  Prior to the first occupation of the flats hereby granted planning permission the flank fenestration shall be provided in complete accordance with drawing No. 083-A20 rev. 5 (received 7/6/18), with obscure glazing provided to a minimum of Pilkington privacy Level 3 and the glazing shall be permanently retained as such thereafter.

REASON: In order to comply with Policy BE1 and H7 of the Unitary Development Plan and in the interest of the amenities of the adjacent properties.

16.  No additional windows shall at any time be inserted in the flank elevations of all of the building hereby permitted without the prior approval in writing of the Local Planning Authority.
