The Environment Portfolio Holder agreed to an early decision in principle, to extend the Environmental Services Contracts with Veolia for a further 8 years (1st April 2027 to 31st March 2035) and that Officers should proceed to develop a package of efficiency and financial savings proposals for further consideration.
The Environment Portfolio Holder agreed that a formal decision report be presented for scrutiny by the Environment & Community Services PDS Committee at the March 2024 Committee meeting, so that Members could provide their comments on the proposals for the extension of the Veolia Environmental Services Contracts, that would be presented to the Executive at the March 2024 meeting.
