Decision:

The Environment Portfolio Holder acknowledged the changes in legislation and the change in practice at the two household Reuse and Recycling Centres in Bromley.

 

The Environment Portfolio Holder agreed to the changes proposed at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centres and to restrict site users in using certain vehicle types from the 1st of March 2024.

Reasons for the decision:

The Environment Portfolio Holder was made aware of the changes in legislation to prevent householders from being charged for the disposal small scale DIY waste at Household Reuse and Recycling Centres. Additionally, the report highlighted the steps the Council was taking to accommodate and communicate this change to householders. The report set forth the case for restricting certain vehicle types at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centres, in order to prevent commercial waste being disposed of at the sites.
