Decision details

(1)  The proposal to implement a new cycle facility, as detailed in the drawings presented at the PDS Committee meeting, be approved.

(2) Authority be delegated to the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder and Ward Members, for any specification changes considered necessary at the detailed design stage.

A new off road cycle facility is proposed in Cray Avenue, Orpington, to provide improved facilities for cyclists between the junctions of Poverest Road and Station Approach. This will link with the current cycle routes to the north and south, reduce the need for cyclists to mix with other traffic, particularly at the Nugent Centre, and provide better links with the Cray Valley Greenways cycle route.
