That the Dedicated Schools Grant allocation and the changes to the funding formula for 2014/15 be approved.

The Local Authority is obliged to account for and distribute funding received from the Government for the purposes of education in accordance with the relevant legislative accounting provision.

The Dedicated Schools Grant allocation for 2014/15 has been notified to the Local Authority as a total sum of £231,457,975.  This will be allocated in three blocks comprising the Schools Block (£168,977,400), the Early Years Block (£15,507,575) and the High Needs Block (£46,973,000).
