That the Dedicated Schools Grant allocation and the changes to the funding formula for 2015/16 be approved.

The Local Authority is obliged to account for and distribute funding received from the Government for the purposes of education in accordance with the relevant legislative accounting provision.

The Dedicated Schools Grant allocation for 2015/16 for the Schools Block and the Early Years block has been confirmed, with the final allocation for the High Needs Block to be released in January 2015.  It is projected that the Dedicated Schools Grant 2015/16 will total an estimated £251,733,734, which includes estimated figures for the High Needs Block adjustment and funding for two year olds. 

The proposed allocation of Dedicated Schools Grant 2015/16 was considered at the meeting of the Schools’ Forum on 15^th January 2015 and agreed in principle.
