Concerning Council Tax Support/Reduction, the Authority is required to undertake an annual public consultation exercise to seek the views of residents on the Council Tax scheme to be operated in the following financial year. The 2016/17 scheme reduced the maximum level of assistance available to a claimant of working-age to 75%

Authorisation is given by this decision for the Authority to commence its annual consultation exercise in August 2016 based upon a recommendation that the level of Council Tax support for 2017/18 remains the same as for the current year.
