The Portfolio Holder for Sustainability, Green Services and Open Spaces approved the proposed rules of engagement for decision-making on requests for funding from the Platinum Jubilee Parks Earmarked Reserve based on the relevant parameters and criteria.

The Portfolio Holder made her decision based on the proposed rules of engagement for applications to the Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund.

The Portfolio Holder considered how the projects meet the broader strategic objectives of the Open Space Strategy 2021-2031, including the protection of biodiversity cultural and historical assets and demonstrable benefits to the communities physical and mental health. the portfolio holder also considered the benefits to community facilities and sporting provision.

The Portfolio Holder considered how the projects would meet the objectives of ‘Making Bromley Even Better’ which refers to the ability of children, young people, adults and older people to be able to thrive in an environment that they are proud to call home. The Portfolio Holder also considered how the projects would align to the objective of ‘Safe, Clean and Green’ which referred to the Council’s residents and businesses prospering in a safe, clean and green environment.
