Decision:

The Portfolio Holder for Public Protection and Enforcement approved the decommissioning of the Pest Control Service which was a non-statutory function.

 

The Portfolio Holder for Public Protection and Enforcement approved the preceding to procurement for the Stray Dog and Rehoming Service for a proposed contract period of three years, with the option to extend for up to a further two years at an estimated annual value of £62k; the estimated whole life value of the contract was £310k.

Reasons for the decision:

The Portfolio Holder approved the procurement of the Stray Dog Rehoming Service because the contract awarded to SDK Environmental Ltd for delivering the Stray Dogs and Pest Control Services contract was due to end on the 31st of January 2023. In anticipation of the contract expiring, approval was required to progress the recommended commissioning strategy detailed in the report presented to the Committee.
