The Portfolio Holder for Sustainability, Green Services and Open Spaces  approveed the trial for Nature Friendly Verges in accordance with the management regime and public engagement proposals set out in this report, at the following sites:

  • Copers Cope Road (Beckenham Town & Copers Cope)
  • Court Road (Orpington)
  • Downs Hill/Ravensbourne Avenue (Shortlands and Park Langley/Bromley Town/Beckenham & Copes Cope)
  • Northfield Road (St Mary Cray)
  • Ormonde Avenue (Farnborough and Crofton)
  • Pickhurst Lane and Pickhurst Mead (West Wickham/Hayes and Coney Hall)
  • Rangefield Road Footpath (Plaistow)
  • River Pool Walk (Penge and Cator)
  • Warren Road (Chelsfield)

 

Reasons for the decision:

The proposal for a Nature Friendly Verges trial supported the Council’s Corporate Strategy: ‘Making Bromley Even Better’. For residents to live responsibly and prosper in a safe, clean and green environment great for today and a sustainable future. It supported the Council’s objectives for a clean and green environment and a carbon neutral environment.
