Description of application – Change of use from A1 (retail) to A4 (micro pub).

 

Oral representations in support of the application were received at the meeting.

The Legal representative confirmed that certain elements of the proposal i.e. operating hours, would also be controlled through the Licensing Act.

Members having considered the report and representations, RESOLVED that PERMISSION BE GRANTED as recommended, subject to the conditions set out in the report of the Chief Planner with the addition of a further condition to read:-

8  Prior to the first use of the premises a management plan for the general operation of the use hereby permitted shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. The plan shall include details of the means by which the door to the premises shall be kept shut during opening hours as far as is practicable. The premises shall thereafter be operated in accordance with the approved plan, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority.

Reason: In order to comply with Policy BE1 and S9 of the Unitary Development Plan in the interests of the amenities of nearby residential properties.
