Decision:

REFUSED

Minutes:

Description of application – Widening of existing driveway and increased height of boundary walls to front and side garden (RETROSPECTIVE).

The Head of Development Management reported comments received from the applicant’s agent in regard to the boundary wall. Those comments were circulated to Members.

Members having considered the report and objections, RESOLVED that the application BE REFUSED for the following reason:-

1  The height, scale and amount of development is excessive and unsightly, it detracts from the character and appearance of the site and its setting and is harmful to the residential amenities of the area contrary to Policies 6 and 37 of the Bromley Local Plan 2019.

Members resolved to refuse the application contrary to the Assistant Director of Planning’s recommendation on the grounds that the development was excessive in size and scale, an overdevelopment of the site and out of keeping with the character and appearance of the area.
