REFUSED

Description of application – Part one/two storey side/rear extension.

Oral representations in objection to and in support of the application were received at the meeting.

It was reported that further objections to the application in regard to loss of light had been received and circulated to Members.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that the application BE REFUSED for the following reason:-

1  The proposed extension by reason of its size and depth and projection beyond the prevailing rear building line, would be excessive in size resulting in overdevelopment and would be out of keeping with the character and appearance of the Park Langley Area of Special Residential Character contrary to Policies 6, 37 and 44 of the Bromley Local Plan 2019.

Members resolved to refuse the application contrary to the Assistant Director of Planning’s recommendation on the grounds that the proposed development would be excessive in size and scale and out of keeping with the character and appearance of the area and the Park Langley Area of Special Residential Character.
