The Council
comprises all Members of the Council and deals with the major
issues that the Council is concerned with. Council meetings are
chaired by the Mayor – in 2023/24, the Mayor is Cllr Mike
Botting. The Deputy Mayor is Cllr Keith Onslow.
Members of the public are
permitted to ask one question at each meeting of the Council. In
accordance with the Council’s Constitution, questions from
the public that are not specific to reports on the agenda must have
been received in writing by 5pm, 10 working days before the date of
the meeting. The deadlines are expected to be:

16th October 2023: Monday 2nd October
2023
Meeting on
11th December 2023: Monday 27th November
2023
Questions specifically on
reports on the agenda can be received within two working days of
the normal publication date of the agenda. The deadline is given on
each agenda.
At special meetings of the Council, only
questions relating to reports on the agenda are taken. Questions
are not taken at the Council’s annual meeting in May.
