DEFERRED

Description of application – Demolition of existing classroom, erection of two storey classroom extension, refurbishment of existing school buildings, provision of two temporary classroom buildings, bike store, refuse store and two sheds, with additional car parking and associated landscaping to enable expansion of school from 1 form of entry to 2 forms of entry.

Oral representations in objection to and in support of the application were received.  Oral representations from the Portfolio Holder for Education Councillor Peter Fortune in support of the application were also received.  Visiting Ward Member Councillor Robert Evans spoke in objection to the application.

Correspondence from Farnborough Village Society, WYG Environment Planning Transport, the Council’s Highway Engineer and the applicant’s transport consultant was circulated to Members, none of which altered the officer recommendation.

Members were advised that educational need could be assessed as a material planning consideration.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that the application BE DEFERRED without prejudice to future consideration to seek the following:-

·  Clarity of data provided in the Transport Assessment in relation to traffic and parking figures.

·  More detailed information on traffic solutions being proposed.
