Description of application – Proposed demolition of existing dwelling and construction of a three storey, five bedroom dwelling with associated landscaping and parking (to be built to the same design as that granted under application ref: 16/05561/FULL6).

 

Oral representations in support of the application were received at the meeting.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that PERMISSION be GRANTED as recommended, subject to the conditions and informatives set out in the report of the Chief Planner with two further conditions to read as follows:-

“16.  The dwelling hereby permitted shall not exceed 7.2m in height.

REASON: In the interest of the residential and visual amenities of the area and to accord with Policies BE1 and H8 of the Unitary Development Plan and Policies 37 and 6 of the Draft Local Plan.

17.  The demolition and construction works hereby granted planning permission shall be implemented in accordance with the Code of Practice for the Control of Pollution and Noise from Demolition and Construction Sites, with particular reference to the hours of construction and demolition: Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm, Saturday 8am – 1pm with no noisy operations on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

REASON: In the interest of the residential amenities of the area and to accord with Policy BE1 of the Unitary Development Plan and Policy 37 of the Draft Local Plan.
