Oral representations in support of the application were received at the meeting.  It was reported that a letter of rebuttal dated 13 August 2018 from the agent had been circulated to Members.

Ward Member, Councillor Kevin Brooks referred to Penge being a Business Improvement District that welcomed improvements to the local area but he was concerned that the applicant had provided inadequate detail of refuse storage and was concerned that refuse should not be left outside a food operation for collection.

Councillors Kieran Terry and Tony Owen’s were of the view that the application lacked details regarding safe and secure cycle storage and details of the ventilation system.

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that THE APPLICATION BE DEFERRED, without prejudice to any future consideration, to SEEK THE SUBMISSION OF FURTHER DETAILS OF A VENTILATION SYSTEM, CYCLING PARKING AND REFUGE ARRANGEMENTS.
