DEFERRED TO LIST 2 TO BE CONSIDERED AT A FUTURE PLANS SUB-COMMITTEE

Minutes:

Description of application – Demolition of Nos. 18-22 Homefield Rise and the construction of 9 x 3 bed houses with associated access and car parking together with the repositioning of the existing bus shelter and other street furniture.

 

Oral representations in objection to the application were received.  Oral representations from Ward Member, Councillor William Huntington-Thresher were received at the meeting. 

 

An email with two schematics had been received from Councillor Huntington-Thresher and circulated to Members, appended to these minutes as ‘Annex A’. The first schematic showed Councillor Huntington-Thresher’s suggested rearrangement of the units on the site to address concerns over site layout and the second schematic showed how the development could be replicated along Homefield Rise to immediate neighbours.  The Chief Planner’s representative had circulated a report update to Members, appended to these minutes as ‘Annex B’.  Councillor Charles Joel read a statement seeking deferral of the application, appended to these minutes as ‘Annex C’.

 

Members having considered the report, objections and representations, RESOLVED that THE APPLICATION BE DEFERRED, without prejudice to any future consideration, to SEEK AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAYOUT OF THE DWELLINGS FACING GRAVEL PIT WAY, THE LOCATION OF THE ACCESS ROAD, LOOK TO AMEND DESIGN/BEDROOM NUMBERS/MAXIMISE USE OF THE SITE AND TO BE CONSIDERED ON LIST 2 AT A FUTURE MEETING OF PLANS SUB-COMMITTEE.
