Adult Care and Health Policy Development and Scrutiny Committee

Purpose of committee

Adult Care and Health PDS Committee examines Executive decisions and reviews policy on care services for adults, including older people, adults with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, mental health problems and learning disabilities, joint commissioning and health promotion. The Committee is also responsible for scrutinising health services.


In accordance with the Council’s Constitution, members of the public may submit one question each on matters relating to the work of the Committee. Questions must have been received in writing 10 working days before the date of the meeting. The deadlines are expected to be:


Meeting on 27th June 2023: 5pm on Tuesday 13th June 2023

Meeting on 5th September 2023: 5pm on Monday 21st August 2023

Meeting on 21st November 2023: 5pm on Tuesday 7th November 2023

Meeting on 30th January 2024: 5pm on Tuesday 16th January 2024

Meeting on 12th March 2024: 5pm on Tuesday 27th February 2024


Questions seeking clarification of the details of a report on the agenda may be accepted within two working days of the normal publication date of the agenda. The deadline is given on each agenda. 


At special meetings, only questions relating to reports on the agenda are taken.
