Question time

Question time gives you the opportunity to come and put questions to the full Council, the Executive, Portfolio Holders, Policy Development and Scrutiny (PDS) committees or other committees about their activities and decisions. All these meetings set aside a slot at the start to answer your questions. Questions are dealt with in the order they are received and you will usually be able to ask a supplementary question; any questions that cannot be dealt with due to lack of time will receive a written reply. A written reply will also be sent if you cannot attend the meeting in person.

If you want to know more about matters the Council is involved in, send your question to the Democratic Services Team and be prepared to attend the appropriate meeting to ask your question. If you think a particular Portfolio Holder should answer your question, please tell us.

Questions at Policy Development and Scrutiny (PDS) committees are usually answered by Portfolio Holders as they are politically accountable for the Council's services.
